We invite qualified applicants for the role of User Experience (UX) Designer. This role is part of the Architecture and Advanced Technology team within Global Information Technology responsible for improving the user experience of IT solutions provided to Colgate’s business functions demonstrating user-centered design. This role will require both creativity and analytical capability.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Design solutions that improve the external and internal experiences
  • Plan and conduct research studies, analyze results, and translate into specific design requirements.
  • Build professional-quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in a fast paced environment for in-product use
  • Lead cross-functional design workshops for functional teams.
  • Advocate for the growth and inclusion of UX practices across the company
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for UX team interns

 

 

Basic Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • +1 year of experience in UX related field
  • Must work effectively in a team environment and be able to prioritize simultaneously and meet accelerated timelines.
  • Knowledge in screen layouts, information design, typography, color, and composition
  • Knowledge in creating and implementing UI designs
  • Must possess adequate leadership skills to lead and facilitate UX efforts
  • Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, cross-function learning, data-driven decision making, self-driven learning.
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and interactive solutioning workshops
  • Understanding of design methodologies (Participatory design, design thinking, double diamond, etc...)
  • Experience with the following:
  • Figma / Sketch / Adobe XD or equivalent
  • Wireframing
  • Prototyping
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree in related fields.
  • Knowledge of the packaged consumer products industry and related business fields.
  • Experience in with web, mobile, enterprise and ecommerce applications.
