The Experience

The Global Naturals and Tom’s of Maine oral care product development team is seeking to fill a Technical Associate position with an independent, highly motivated individual.

The candidate should have strong creative, management, and leadership skills to drive innovation and growth in the multifaceted, globally fast growing oral care naturals category. The candidate will supply to the category strategy by understanding people's insights, critical technical requirements, connecting with diverse partners, and developing/executing an overall project plan that fulfills the business objectives.

Role Scope:

Innovate and apply technical ideas and translate them into executable products.
Lead independently the development and validation of new products and technologies to support the Tom’s of Maine and global naturals businesses.
Run direct report and execution of multiple programs to support the business product grids and technology innovation pipeline across multiple markets.
Take leadership, conduct meetings at various interfaces and see opportunities to leverage partnerships.
Collaborate effectively cross-regionally and cross-functionally including Marketing, Global Technology, Packaging, Design and Supply Chain.
Understand and ensure safety, regulatory, and cost compliance across the product development process.
Identify innovation opportunities to file intellectual property.
Transfer technologies and all appropriate documentation to ensure magnificent market implementation.
Provide technical support globally for all oral care naturals product portfolios.

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences or related field with a minimum of 9 years of previous proven experience is required.
Formulation experience and passion about lab experimentation is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD degree i n Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences or related field with a minimum of 4 years of previous proven experience is preferred.
Open to l earn and acquire new skills to bring in value for the oral care naturals category.
Strong collaborative, project planning, leadership and management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and team skills; ability to communicate, influence and thrive in a cross functional environment.
