We are excited to invite applications for the position Full Stack Developer within our Colgate eCommerce Team supporting B2B business models.


Our agile, forward-thinking development team partners with our business teams to implement and scale exceptional user experiences. This role will involve planning, design, development and maintenance of our frontend and backend. The ideal candidate is very user experience focused and can work well both independently and within a team. Candidate needs to be a self-starter, eager to learn new technologies and consider security implications in their designs.

 


Specifically, this position will have the responsibility to:

 

 

  • Understand business needs and develop solutions that delight consumers and customers
  • Develop consumer grade eCommerce applications that scale in a global environment
  • Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to architect solutions and solve high complexity issues
  • Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
  • Manage application rollouts, system upgrades, apply user experience techniques
  • Support ongoing developments for existing projects/applications
  • Identify and explore new opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance the Platform
  • Mentor and share knowledge to grow and develop the skills of the eCommerce team members.

 


Basic Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar degree
  • 3+ years developing production eCommerce websites in Commerce frameworks such as Magento, Salesforce and Commerce Cloud
  • Solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with the following:
    • Web frameworks like Vue/Nuxt, React/Next or Angular
    • Node.js and server frameworks such as Express or Sails
    • GraphQL/Apollo & REST API development
    • SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration
    • Cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure)
    • Test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills, and the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and business needs into technical specifications

 


Preferred Qualification:

 

 

  • Experience in the following:
    • Google Cloud Platform services
    • Containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Microservices
    • Serverless functions
    • Python or PHP
    • Jira/Trello
    • Cyber security best practices
  • Working on Agile/SCRUM development teams
  • Experience with build and deployment solutions
  • Experience working with payment gateways like Stripe, Paymetric, Adyen, Moneris, etc.
  • Experience of using user-centric design and applying User Experience concepts
  • Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA)
  • Strong programming, analytical, and problem solving skills
