The Senior Data Architect in the Supply Chain Analytics Enablement Team is responsible for leading the development, administration and transformation of data models that will enable data based decisions to optimize Supply Chain organization. The incumbent will engage with business leaders to understand business questions and develop an evolving data strategy that will identify, source and interpret data to deliver meaningful analytics solutions. The incumbent will also champion the evolution of the analytics culture & capabilities through individual development and networking to advance analytics in the organization.
Core responsibilities:
- Lead the development and evolution of the data life-cycle management and strategy (Identify, analyze, scope business requirements and translate) for various types of data (structured, unstructured, metadata, Key Performance Indicators, metrics, snapshots etc).
- Partner with IT to build, manage and improve a global data repository, enhance current tools, identify external solutions and implement new technologies,
- Partner with business, SMEs, and other architects to assess the current data landscape, identify challenges from a business perspective
- Design & optimize data architecture with key measurable goals & roadmaps
- Stay informed of upcoming technology trends and identify strategic opportunities
- Communicates effectively with business partners, management, and other areas
- Ensure data is available, accessible, sustainable and integrated across landscape
- Define and support governing data standards (formats, hierarchy, etc)
- Increase analytics utilization through engagement and enhancing user experience
- Develop ongoing data monitoring protocols - daily checks/alerts, etc
- Establish Data Catalog/Model methods enabling user to discover data relationships
- Socialize tool improvements and new tools with users
- Develop processes for front-end user support (support ticket guidelines, integrate visual cues, community FAQ)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 9 years of work experience
- Minimum of 1 year of programming experience is required
- Experience in Data Mapping and architecture required
- Experience with database implementations (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cloud)
- Visualizing and presenting data for partners using: Tableau, Google data studio, Power BI or equivalent
Preferred skills and competencies
- Master's or PhD in mathematics, computer science, data analytics is helpful
- Supply Chain and/or Consumer Goods Industry experience preferred
- Programming languages preferred: C++, Python, Julia, R, Java or equivalent
- Experience working with cloud data architectures preferred
