Job Purpose:

Ensure width and depth of distribution of Colgate Palmolive products in the given zone and implementation of company’s strategies so as to meet the sales and distribution objectives in the zone.

 

Job Context:

Need to ensure effective execution of the company strategies and schemes role out for the Channel Management. Need to closely work with PSR and Stockist Salesmen and the stockist to ensure that all compliance and all schemes are met to achieve the targets of the month.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Revenue targets:

  • Achieve retailing (Indirect Sales) and billing (Direct Sales) targets every month

 

Customer inventory monitoring

  • Ensure availability of optimum stocks by ensuring proper planning & standard order collection and /or ensuring that the Vendor managed Inventory system is working satisfactorily

 

Expand market coverage

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage in the assigned zones while balance the adequate market distribution and penetration

 

Manage trade promotion claims

  • Ensure that claims (trade loads, van subsidy etc.) are prepared as per norms, verifying them and keeping track of their settlement

 

IT Usage

  • Possesses ability to use the tools of DMS-ITT/Palm, Laptop effectively to make data/fact based decisions & recommendations and should support it with relevant numerical analysis

 

Prepare monthly analysis reports

  • Maintain monthly reports & information as required by the company. Compiling facts and figures according to established format/procedures
  • Reporting competitive activity, schemes & related developments from the market

 

Manage and develop team resources

  • Assign & schedule work to stockist salesmen & Pilot Salesmen
  • Monitor team performance and provide support/solution when needed
  • Maintain team capabilities of SSM and PSR toward appropriate training
  • Ensure the quality of communication on trade promotions are cascaded to team

 

Maintain relationship with trade partners

Proactively understanding the customer’s needs recommending business solutions to meet Colgate and customer requirement

Ensure a well-established relationship with stockist and trade in general.

 

Experience :

1 + years of work experience in FMCG Companies. Having worked in a similar market environment.

 

Professional Qualifications & Training :

 

Essential: Graduate with 1+ years of experience.

 

Desirable: Post graduate from Tier –III Business school, join as CD Intern in CP for a period of 3 months
